This year’s theme, "Beyond Microscope: Transformative and Future Strategies in Basic Medical Sciences," marks a pivotal shift toward the next frontier of medicine. This conference will feature a robust scientific program, including invited talks from International and national speakers of well reputed institutions, scientific presentations from delegates aimed at redefining how basic sciences bridge the gap between laboratory research and clinical application for the future healthcare. Continuing our commitment to nurturing talent, the conference will host the Young Research Scholar Awards for Faculty, PhD, and Postgraduates, alongside our signature undergraduate poster competitions.
We invite the global medical fraternity to join us on the BMSeCON Portal to explore these transformative strategies. Whether participating in our oral presentations or attending our virtual sessions, delegates can expect a comprehensive look at the future of Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry in a rapidly evolving world. We look forward to your active participation in making this edition another landmark success in the history of AVMCH & Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (VMRF).
Since its inception in 1999, the Phase-I MBBS Departments of Aarupadai Veedu Medical College (AVMC)—Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry—have been the bedrock of foundational medical education providing quality education to the students. Over the past two decades, these departments have evolved from traditional teaching units into hubs of specialized innovation and research. The Department of Anatomy distinguishes itself with its state-of-the-art Plastination Lab, offering unique hands-on workshops that bridge the gap between traditional dissection and modern preservation. Simultaneously, the Department of Biochemistry serves as a vital clinical link, overseeing the Central Laboratory operations where academic research meets high-throughput diagnostic precision. This synergy ensures that our students are trained at the intersection of foundational theory and real-world clinical application.
Complementing these efforts, the Department of Physiology operates a Centre of Excellence in Clinical Physiology, providing patient care services in Nerve Conduction, Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs)Building on this strong heritage of excellence, we are proud to present this year’s international conference theme: "Beyond Microscope: Transformative and Future Strategies in Basic Medical Sciences." This theme reflects our departments' current trajectory—moving beyond traditional observation toward integrated, technology-driven strategies in medical research and education.
In alignment with this vision, the present conference highlights a "Glimpse of the Future," integrating Artificial Intelligence in diagnostics and Digital Pedagogies into the basic sciences. This year, we continue to render the spirit of inquiry through the Young Research Scholar Awards and invited talks. By merging the historical strengths of our departments with futuristic strategies, we continue to empower the next generation of medical professionals to look beyond the lens and lead the transformation of global healthcare.
